Here we have a large and robust gemmy green Tourmaline crystal from the prolific Usakos Tourmaline Mine of Karibib, Namibia! Lesser known to the mineral community then Brazilian or Afghani/Pakistani Tourmaline localities, the Karibib (Usakos) occurrence is noted for producing colorful, quality Touramlines that can have a nice range of color and larger sizes, like this lovely piece here. Good green color throughout, with a nice white capped pinacoidal termination that makes this piece a solid candidate for anyone’s collection. A bit of damage on a portion of the termination, but other than that, the piece is complete all around! Still a beautiful and worth-while piece, with good luster and nice striations present. There is some carving potential here as well. Some hints of yellow and blue can be seen within the green body color of the crystal. Such a juicy piece shouldn’t go unnoticed…
