A large fossil specimen featuring a Calcified clamshell with a warm golden hue and nice, sharp form in the exposed Calcite crystals that contrasts nicely with the gray matrix. Further fossilization on the underside as well. In this piece, the Calcite crystals have completely replaced the interior “meat” of a clam – with sharp, gemmy yellow crystals – while the outer shell itself is solid Calcite. Don’t pass up on this large display piece!
