Six nicely textured fossilized hadrasaur eggshell fragments, approximately 65 to 209 million years old! Hadrosaurs were duck-billed dinosaurs that lived up to the great extinction even that occurred 65 million years ago that wiped out the dinosaurs. Dino eggs were not at all like the hardshell chicken eggs we’re used to. Instead, they were more like large leathery pouches that the young hatchlings clawed their way out of, leaving a more or less intact empty egg behind. These are very cool, and fun to inspect with a loupe in person!
Please note that there are two images representing all SIX of the eggshell fragments in this parcel.
