An aesthetic specimen featuring a blanket of hundreds of sharp Amethyst crystals with good luster and a nice light color draped over a singular rhombohedral Calcite crystal! You can clearly see the shape of the Calcite through the Amethyst covering! A section at the termination was removed to show the Calcite interior surrounded by the Amethyst – to me this makes for an even better display piece, as the color contrast is immediately eye-catching.
