Here we have two dark Tektites with excellent texture and an interesting form. Tektites, such as Indochinite as well as Moldavite form directly from a meteorite impact; forming out of the semi-molten material ejected into the upper atmosphere that cools as it tumbles back down to Earth… The texture on all Tektites is a result of airflow while it was still semi-molten. Further proof of its violent origins can be seen in its chemical composition, which is mostly pure silica, at 98% on average. Very cool material!
