Three specimens featuring lemony yellow-green twinned Sphene crystals on a bed of smaller xtls, one specimen with some pearly Albite crystals for a nice contrast. There is no matrix really – just a compact mass of tiny Sphene crystals that host larger, more robust crystals with good form and luster. Sphene is also known by the name “Titanite”, and is an important ore for titanium.
